Perch is a research tool for legislative professionals. We know your searches can reveal client strategy, so this policy is short and direct.
Account information (name, email, billing details handled by Stripe — we never see your card number). Your search queries and usage activity, which we store to operate the service, fix problems, and improve result quality. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and abuse prevention. Free searches on our public page are logged with IP address for rate-limiting.
We don't sell your data. We don't share your searches or research activity with anyone — not other subscribers, not legislators, not third parties — except as required by law. Your queries are not used to train AI models. We don't show ads.
Perch sends search queries and excerpts of the public legislative record to AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) to generate answers. These providers process the data to serve your request and do not use it to train their models under our agreements with them.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted. If we ever experience a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly.
You can cancel anytime; billing stops at period end. You can request deletion of your account and associated query history by emailing rick@formagroup.net, and we'll complete it within 30 days.
If this policy changes materially, we'll email subscribers before the change takes effect.
