Perch connects to Claude and ChatGPT, so you can ask your legislative questions from inside the assistant you already work in. Your AI pulls live from the same Perch record — committee testimony, official statements, press releases, and votes — and every answer stays pinned to the member and the statement it came from. Nothing to export, nothing to paste over.

Connect in Claude

Open your connection link from Settings → Connectors (you must be signed in).
In Claude, add a custom connector and paste that link as the server URL.
Ask something like “Search Perch for what Kolkhorst said on water.”

Connect in ChatGPT

ChatGPT supports custom connectors in Developer Mode (Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
Add a connector and paste the same connection link from Settings.
Ask your question the same way — answers come back cited.

Your connection key

Each subscription gets its own private connection link, generated for you and shown in Settings. Treat it like a password — anyone with the link can query Perch as you. If it is ever exposed, regenerate it from Settings; you will reconnect the connector once with the new link.

The technical name

This runs on MCP (the Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside tools. Any MCP-compatible assistant can use your Perch link.
